it all started when . . .
college friends John MacNeill and Mehool Patel, enthusiastic about their own musical projects, but disenchanted with mainstream channels, dreamed of an outlet where their work could be more accessible.

At the time, you had two choices—commercial and college radio. Getting on commercial radio often means relinquishing a lot (if not all) artistic control, and that's if you're lucky. College radio provides opportunities to be heard, but usually within a relatively small geographical area.

Finally the Internet became a viable alternative to traditional distribution channels. So John and Mehool started noisynoise.com as an online forum to promote their independent and collaborative efforts. Now it has evolved into a forum giving voice and exposure to other independent musicians (that we like).

As a group, noisynoise can make more noise than as individual artists.
