Incandescent Sky - Glorious Stereo Track Info

[01] Caldera (working title: Afterburner)

This improvisation was born from JMac's "imitation crunch guitar" keyboard riff and grew from there. This take was recorded during the first session with John Orsi

[02] Glorious Stereo (working title: Z'zoom)

This composition was the first thing to come out of thin air as we started the quartet in February 2001. For this take the foundation was recorded at Ivy Lane Studios and then guitar and windsynth solos were added later. Samples are taken from promotional films at the dawn of "stereophonic sound" in the early 50's.

[03] Solid State (working title: Porcupine)

Porcupine (too obvious of a reference?) was almost completely worked out as a trio, but we always knew that it needed the right rhythmist to push it over the top. Features solos by Mehool, JMac and Don respectively.

[04] SkyVue (working title: Route 54)

This composition was largely written by Don and was initially framed at both ends by his beautiful acoustic guitar lines. It transformed into a progressive showcase, with several different sections coming together. Mehool lends a haunting Chapman stick solo over the extended bridge.

[05] Divide by Zero (working title: Project Zero)

A favorite of the trio, the addition of John O's batterie to JMac's synth percussion and samples really spins this improv into a frenzy. This is just one of the varied takes of this song...

[06] Lullaby (working title: Lullaby)

An ISky rarity caught live on tape...a consonant, delicate improvisation!

[07] Bent (working title: thxbient)

This started along the same lines as Radiate's Halogen and turned into a funky sci-fi adventure thanks to Mehool's liquid low-end limbo. Yes, Mr. Lucas, that's really JMac on vocals!.
