Incandescent Sky

What started as a psychedelic jam session has grown into a "spacey yet coherent" ensemble. Incandescent Sky is an instrumental group that draws from a broad sonic palette. Through the creative use of electronics, they paint atmospheres, both delicate and jagged. Unique song structures provide launching points for group improvisation.

While the participants cite many varied influences, listeners hear echoes of King Crimson, Ozric Tentacles, Brian Eno and Porcupine Tree.

Incandescent Sky is:
John MacNeill - synths, samples, saxes, vocals
Mike Marando - bass guitar
Mehool Patel - bass guitar, Chapman Stick, loops
John Orsi - drumset, percussion
Don Sullivan - guitar, synth guitar, loops

Reviews

On Paths & Angles, Incandescent Sky focuses on exploring the possibilities of composition with both structured and freeform elements. Their improvisational side is also represented on several tracks. The addition of Mike Marando on bass adds to the low-end power.
