Exposure To Aircraft Noise Pollution Can Result To Heart Attacks

A recent Swiss research study conducted by the University of Bern in Switzerland has found that the increase of noise pollution created from the roaring engines of aircraft has an impact on the individual's risk of heart attack. In fact, the risk is increased by as much as 30 percent depending on how often an individual is exposed to the noise pollution and how close.

The study looked at the associated between aircraft vehicles' noise and air pollution, concluding the risk of death from a heart attack was a plausible result. The study, which looked at long term exposure of 15 years found that the risk increased by 50 percent when the plane noise was 60db or more.
