Noise Pollution-A Menace

© zoonabarNoise is defined as unwanted sound which causes a disruption in the balance of human life and other natural things. Such a condition is called noise pollution. Traffic is the largest noise maker all around the world. Other sources also add onto it to make our globe susceptible to its effect. The causes of noise pollution are listed below:
• Traffic
• Aircrafts
• Railway stations
• Industrial noise
• Construction of buildings
• Household equipments
The effects of noise pollution are:
• Permanent or temporary deafness is one of the most prevalent effects
• Decrease in working efficiency
• Fatigue which is caused due to lack of concentration as noise causes attention to be diverted
• Stress level is increased
• High blood pressure, mental illness, etc occur when surrounded by too much noise
• Animal life and plant life are also adversely affected
Planting trees and keeping a check on noise pollutants will help fight noise pollution to a great extent.
